"GPS Geo-fences" and "PayPortal".

"GPS Geo-fences" use a combination of cellular technology and GPS. A Geo-Fence is a virtual line draw at the geographic location which Pay or clock is started and stopped as a vehicle passes. PayPortal may use Geo-Fences to leverage your existing GPS system to provide you an accurate and economical payroll system. PayPortal may also use long range RFID where shadowing from trees, or other environmental considerations make GPS not feasible.

With PayPortal, the time and attendance design is flexible to meet your needs.

Regarding the accuracy of GEO-Fences, they are relatively accurate within 10-25 feet or so. There is a drift that occurs with GPS data that may vary the exact location of the units being tracked by as much as 25'-though they are normally very accurate.

This is because GPS relies on a cellular connection to their data-warehouse and access to that warehouse through internet connectivity. Most GPS systems have memory in the units that will store the location and event data if the cellular connection is broken and some will transmit it reliably, others not, when the connection is reestablished.

With the PayPortal RFID method, the customer has the data directly and is not dependent on cellular connections.
